Lia likes to spin herself dizzy. She had a really good time last night before going to bed. If anyone remembers the TV show from the late 70's starring Lynda Carter, Wonder Woman would spin around and around to turn herself from her alter ego, Diana Prince, into her superhero self. Diana Prince would take off her big glasses and her hair would fly free from the tight bun or ponytail and become big and poufy. Lia's hair wasn't exactly in a tight bun or ponytail after her bath, but it was pretty crazy. She was spinning and spinning and laughing, then she would either bonk herself on something or go stumbling around and fall on one of us. "My daughter, the drunk" was Jeff's comment. So I've started singing the theme song to Wonder Woman every time she starts to spin. Except that Jeff said this morning that we shouldn't encourage her because she'll hurt herself one of these days. About a second after he said that she smacked into something. If she does it again, I have to try to capture this on film. (Lili had told me once before that Lia likes to spin around until she's dizzy, but now she seems to be doing it more regularly.)
P.S. Forgot to mention that one of the words she says most clearly and uses most frequently now (she started a couple of weeks ago) is "Da-dee!" She utters it in a loud, strong voice. Usually, she wants Jeff to come get her. One day, she was throwing a tantrum in the hallway (I know, so out of character for her), so I just let her lie there and work it out. Jeff was downstairs. She was screaming and screaming and screaming. After a few minutes of this, she screamed "DADDEEE!!!! DADDEEE!!!!" then resumed her regular screaming.
