First fever
We had a great weekend in Westhampton and arrived home last night around 9:00 pm. Both kids passed out in the car and there was a ton of traffic, so it was great that they could sleep. When we took Lia out of her carseat, she felt like she was on fire. Jeff took her temperature and it was over 103! We called the pediatrician and Jeff had to run out to get some Children's Tylenol for her. As soon as she took the Tylenol, her fever started going down, though. She went to sleep by around 10:30 and woke up this morning at 6:00 back up at 103+. Another dose of Tylenol brought the fever down. She had a nap from noon to 2:15 and again woke up with 103+. Third dose brought it down again and this time I think the fever broke. She got her appetite back in time for dinner and was smiling, cooing and laughing again. I don't think it's Coxsackie virus, but I do think she's teething. The drool tonight was excessive and she's really chomping on things now. Hopefully, the fever is gone and she'll have a tooth soon. Poor baby.
