Mooban Talay to you, too!

We went to an island off the coast of Thailand. It was a 2.5 hour drive from Bangkok to the shore, then we took a speedboat over. We rented a van for the 8 of us, but we had to bring our own car seats. I noticed that the last 30 minutes or so, we were following a guy on a motorcycle. Who then led us to a speedboat operator... Hmmm... Also, we got stopped on the highway and our driver had to go get in line and pay some fee. Not sure what happened there, but it didn't delay us for long. Alex negotiated a speedboat where we paid first for the entire round trip and they promised to be there when we called them on Saturday... we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best.

Lia's only "words" at the time were "uh oh". In the middle of the night in this island paradise, after we had maneuvered and configured the one room bungalow so that both kids were finally asleep, we heard a throaty, "Uh oh!" coming from under the bungalow! Which was then echoed. This was repeated a few times. Luckily, no children were woken up. Then, really, really early in the morning, it sounded like either a bunch of coconuts rolled down our roof or some squirrels or monkeys were scampering down it. Ah, nature! Alex and Hilary heard the uh-ohs as well, but they thought maybe Lia had escaped from our bungalow and was under theirs!

Anyway, here are the pictures. It was a gorgeous place and I'm sure it would have been much more relaxing if we hadn't had the kids with us.
